Description
18th Century Dutch Delft Apothecary Drug Jar. The jar of ovoid form with rolled top rim and tapered body down to the circular flat foot rim, decorated with opposing peacocks surmounting a cartouche reading ROOSE.REUK with a cherub below and multiple florets of flowers and scroll work. The base signed by the painter in blue. Roose.Reuk translates to rose smell.
