Here is a section covering a wide choice of mainly chinese and japanese works of art, in porcelain bronze and other media. perhaps the best known to many people is the chinese ming dynasty 1368 to 1644. Items from this period are probably some of the most attractive and sought after blue and white porcelain and pottery ever to come out of china. On the other hand we have japanese works of art in the form of cloisonne, a form of enamels with designs made up of cells or cloisonnes as they are better known. These items come in the form of vases, bowls, and plates of varying sizes and quality, and of course not to forget the outstanding quality of the most sought after satsuma pottery and porcelain. Probably the most prolific ceramics known to collectors are the imari wares, decorated in vibrant blues and reds mainly depicting flora such as prunus and whisteria within delicate borders.
