Description
An authentically traditional Afghan rug, featuring the classic small elephants foot or 'gul' design in a madder and natural sheep and camel color scheme. The design is presented in a small repeating format, with subtle highlights in ivory and camel. In older iterations, camel hair was used, which later became dyed.
The primary and secondary guls share equal scale, separated by a thin line, creating an almost tile-like pattern across the carpet. To enhance comfort on hard floors, especially with its woollen foundation (warps and weft), an underlay is recommended.
This rug brings warmth to any space, be it a snug, sitting room, or dining room, seamlessly blending in without demanding excessive attention.
