Much of the antique pine furniture you see today was made during the 19thC through to the early 20thC. It was considered the most economical of woods by these early carpenters, to be concealed with coats of paint, often decorated to replicate other more expensive woods. Some painted pine pieces are collectable because of their colour and decoration; but the majority are now appreciated for the colour and grain of the mature stripped wood.
You can choose from a large variety of boxes, bookcases, chest of drawers, cupboards, desks, dressers, tables, wardrobes and many other associated accessories which are all available from Hemswell Antique Centres.
Whether it is for the bedroom, kitchen, study, dining or living room the wide range available means there will be something to appeal to everyone and the piece you choose, as well as being functional and pleasing to the eye, should serve a long and useful life.
