Description
Circa 1905 Huntley and Palmers tin plate biscuit tin in the style of leather belt bound books this is the Sir Walter Scott Waverley version featuring 8 books including Waverley,Guy Bannering,Rob Roy, Heart of Midlothian, Ivanhoe,The Abbot, Kenilworth and Woodstock.
The lithograph printing on the tin plate is aged as expected but in very good condition and still looks like a stack of books with the gilt book titles all clear and readable the tin has very minor dents and the hinge is good and strong so the lid still works and closes as it should with a satisfying click.
