Description
This painting is a lovely scene signed to the lower left hand side. There have been a couple of stress repairs to the rear with strengthening patches on canvas, but doesn't detract from the picture at the front and is a chance to get a genuine John Emms oil painting.
About the Artist:
Emms was widely known as a great painter of dogs and horses and exhibited at the Royal Academy several times. He painted for Royalty and a lot of the large country houses of the time, his works are hung in museums around the world.
