Description

A good large antique victorian oil painting on canvas by Walter Williams (1834-1906). He was the son of the well known artist George Augustus Williams. Walter also married an artist Jane Pearcy, they had two children, who also became painters. Walter Williams exhibited 81 paintings at the Royal Academy. This large landscape artwork depicts a mountainous view with a lake, along with a couple with a child on a footpath. It is probably a view in Wales. It is signed and dated 1881, and is presented in a swept gilt frame. Framed painting is 82cm wide by 113cm wide. Stock Code: 3807.
