Both works are hand-painted watercolours on paper and are presented in matching gilt-effect frames with dark charcoal/grey mounts.
Both works are signed “David Cox”, and the style, subject matter and handling are certainly reminiscent of the work of the celebrated English watercolourist David Cox (1783–1859). The signatures and paintings have not been professionally authenticated, so they are offered as attributed/signed David Cox rather than as definitively authenticated works.
