Description
A striking pair of original oil on canvas portraits by the artist C. Chapman, one dated 1970, depicting two seated female figures in beautifully observed interiors. Painted with confident, expressive brushwork in what I would call a loose, impressionistic style, both works demonstrate accomplished draughtsmanship and a wonderful understanding of light, colour and character.

These are genuine vintage studio oils dating from around 1970 and make an elegant decorative statement, equally suited to contemporary, mid-century modern or traditional interiors.
