Description

This exquisite 18th century First Period Worcester teapot is a magnificent example of early British porcelain craftsmanship. The globular body features a rich, deep scale blue ground, elegantly framing rococo scroll reserves outlined in heavy, ornate gilding. One side depicts a beautifully hand painted exotic bird amidst foliage, whilst the reverse displays a vibrant bouquet of colourful summer flowers. The matching domed lid is surmounted by a finely modelled, applied floral bud finial with green leaves.
