A fine and rare pair of chinese porcelain dragon jars.

Each jar enamelled with a pair of writhing dragons amidst branches of flowering peonies, chrysanthemum and lotus in the Dayazhai style, reserved again a dark blue ground, with yellow bands to the shoulders and foot. The covers similarly decorated, surmounted by a gilt foo dog finials.

Both jars in good condition with some age-related surface wear, enamels bright, gilding largely intact. One cover has an historic chip to the edge, the other is in good condition.
