Description
A Wonderful Antique Early 20th Century Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Vase of Hexagonal Sleeve Form. Ths Rare Pattern Vase Mounted with a Pair of Opposing Winged Griffins. The Four Colour Vase in Blue, Brown, Grey and Purple Glazes. The Vase Was Designed by Francis C Pope and Decorated by Joan Honey. Francis Pope Worked for Doulton From 1880 to 1925. A Vase of the Same Design Appears in a 1971 Exhibition Catalogue of Doulton Stoneware and Terracotta 1870-1925. Fully Marked to Base with Designer, Decorator and Factory Marks
