19th Century
Pair Large White Staffordshire Spaniels
It was very fashionable for pairs of spaniels, also called wally dogs to be placed on the mantle piece of C19th& C20th homes. Spaniels were a favourite due to their connection with English Royal family, especially Queen Victoria. Each pair is hand painted and unique, with a range of facial expressions from happy to ferocious. They have become very collectable over the years.
