Description
Late 19th Century Victorian Aesthetic Movement ceramic teapot with matching stand features an intricate Orientalist transfer ware design in shades of deep bluey green with delicate gilt accents. The body of the teapot is molded with a bold, architectural form with a pagoda-style lid, all enriched with fine gold detailing. Both sides display a detailed Eastern-inspired scene including a seated figure beneath a parasol by tropical foliage with stylized sunburst patterns and geometric borders. The matching stand tying the set together as a complete decorative piece.
