Description

An Aesthetic Movement Green Painted Mantle Clock Circa 1880, the 11 inch diameter blue and white dial with Arabic numerals, designed by Lewis Foreman Day, retailed by Howell James & Co., the French cylinder movement striking on a gong, the case with four blue and white hand painted tiles flanking the dial variously inscribed 'Ye Hawk' and 'Ye Nightingale' ,Ye Peacock and Ye Magpie, Ye Cock and Ye Jewel, Ye Fox & Ye Grapes, one tile indistinctly signed by the artist Fred Milla??
