Description
A charming and exceptionally rare vintage brooch by the iconic British design house Butler & Wilson. While the firm is best known for its costume jewelry, this piece is distinctively crafted in Sterling Silver, confirmed by the full set of Birmingham Assay Hallmarks for the year 1988. The brooch is skillfully designed as a whimsical Teddy Bear. The bear's form is intricately detailed with sparkling, round-cut Marcasites (Pyrite), giving it a rich, antique patina and textural shimmer. A charming detail is the bear's Bow Tie, which is also highlighted with carefully set marcasite stones.
