Description
A classic Italian style light. An interlocking pair of ovoid prismatic glass lenses is supported by an internal metal frame below an aluminium canopy, finished in an original metallic bronze lacquer.
This fitting is in a lovely original condition and benefits from a beautiful patina.
The lower lens can be removed by unscrewing the base finial to allow access to the single bulb with Eddison screw fitting. The fitting includes the original, and substantial, porcelain bulb holder.
This is the first of two identical fittings that are currently available. Each fitting is offered for sale individually.

Tito Agnoli (1931 -2012) was an Italian architect and industrial designer who specialised mainly in designing lighting and furniture.

- Condition: This fitting has been carefully and masterfully taken apart, thoroughly cleaned and restored to its former glory. There are minor chips on the inside rims of the lenses, commensurate with age, but these are not visible when the light is assembled and hanging. Neither of the two lenses have any cracks. The images form a part of the condition description. Whilst major imperfections will be highlighted, almost all antique lighting will possess a degree of age-related imperfections including minor chips and nibbles. It is not always possible to highlight these minor imperfections. We would strongly recommend that you visit the Centre to inspect this light fitting prior to purchase. If this is not possible, please contact us to arrange a virtual inspection via Facetime or WhatsApp. If you are intending to buying on-line please ensure that you are completely satisfied with the condition prior to purchase.
