Description
An exquisite and striking Pair of Antique French Wall Sconces, dating from the mid 19th century, circa 1850. These decorative pieces are cast in fine Bronze and finished with a rich Gilt coating, giving them a warm, luxurious patina. The sconces are beautifully detailed, sculpted in the form of idealised Classical Male and Female Heads. The design is intended to be hung as a mirrored pair, with the male and female figures looking towards each other when installed on opposing walls or either side of a feature like a mirror or doorway.
