Description

Original Antique Oak Standard Lamp with Tapering Barleytwist and Reeded Stem and Circular Shaped Base. A very good quality example in good order, slight age wear to the base. A new antique style brass bulbholder has been added, fully re-wired with old style cable and new plug and pat tested. Complete with original Antique Lace Shade, which is in good condition, but does shows signs of it's 100 year old age. Circa 1920s.

Note: This lamp was used as a Film Prop in the 1979 Film 'Agatha' with Vanessa Redgrave and Dustin Hoffman, a story based on Agatha Christie's disappearance in 1926. Provenance: from the collection of the late Michael Seirton - British Film Set Director.
