Description

Original Dark Oak Standard Lamp with Reeded Stem and Octagonal Shaped Adzed Base by Colin Almack, known as the 'Beaverman', so a carved beaver is to be found at the base. Colin trained and worked for Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson in Kilburn from the 1940s, but set up his own workshop in the 1960s in Thirsk and later at Sutton-under-Whitestonecliffe in Yorkshire. This superb quality standard lamp is rare to find in this dark colourway, almost ebonised. A new 'old style' bulbholder has been added, fully re-wired with 'old style' cable, fitted with a black plug and pat tested.
