Description
10cm tall circa 1880 Victorian cast gilt bronze inkwell desk stand in the form of a 10 point antler stags head with glass eyes. The hinge is situated between the antlers and opens to reveal a void that the brass ink liner would have sat in this is sadly missing. The wear to the gilt highlights the superb casting detail to the fur and patination. The bronze is unmarked and is possibly French or Austrian.
