Postcards by M Billing c 1905-1910 (framed)

Postcards (framed) of pictures depicting still life of vegetables. All of the pictures on these three postcards are from paintings by M Billing and date from c1905-1910.

Marie Billing was a German painter active in Munich from the early 1900s to the 1920s. She had a knack for assembling objects to create memorable still life paintings. Publishers readily bought her work to illustrate their postcards and books and as a result her pictures can still be found today .

These pictures were published as postcards by, "Max Ettlinger & Co Ltd, London EC" as "Series 4899"

Very good condition, with glass back enabling reverse of postcards to be visible, and framed appropriately
