Description
This celebrated Art Deco sculpture is titled "L'Accordéoniste" ,The Accordionist, a cubist-inspired work created by the identical twin brothers Jan and Joël Martel (1896–1966).
The Martel Brothers: Born in Nantes, the twins were prominent avant-garde French sculptors known for their collaborative work. They were founding members of the Union des Artistes Modernes (UAM) and were famous for their geometric, Art Deco, and Cubist-influenced forms.
