Description

This impressive mid century stoneware figure is beautifully crafted by L. Hjorth, presenting a classic Danish design from circa 1960. The sculptural piece depicts a historical military officer or soldier riding a horse, rendered with rich detail. The figure is finished in a glossy, mottled grey and blue glaze, with a cream and blue chequered saddle cloth and subtle brown underglazes adding depth to the base and the horse's mane.
