Description

A charming and decorative set of three matching 20th Century plates, representative of traditional Syrian ceramic artistry. Each plate is meticulously hand-painted with an array of intricate patterns that seamlessly blend sophisticated geometric designs with flowing floral motifs (featuring stylised leaves, vines, and blooms). This characteristic combination is a hallmark of Islamic and Middle Eastern decorative arts. The colour palette is strictly limited to cooling shades of Blue and Green, often applied over a cream glaze. The use of cobalt blue and lighter green tones creates a vivid contrast and depth, typical of the refined underglaze painting techniques used in Syrian ceramics.
