Description

An unusual probably one off handmade Charles Rennie Mackintosh style high back chair. Made from mahogany with a decorative pierced panel at the top and unusual carved finials in the form of stylised thistles. A pair of front vertical arm supports with inlaid gilt and glass cabochon. Upholstered in a mid brown floral fabric. Underneath the chair is a handwritten inscription for Sir Jack Shaw 1999. Sir Jack Shaw (John Calman Shaw) it is referring to was the Governor of the Bank of Scotland from 1999-2001. Stock Code: 2572.
