Description

This circa 1750s flame mahogany longcase clock by William Lindsey of London is fully restored. The arched hood features two brass finials and pillars embellished with fine brass inlay, which is also present on the sides. It houses an arched dial with roman numerals and ornate details. The trunk features a long, arched door that showcases the vibrant, symmetrical pattern of the flame mahogany grain, flanked by matching inset columns. The entire piece rests on a solid plinth base with a shaped apron, driven by an eight day movement that strikes the hours on a bell.
