Description
Original Art Nouveau Spelter Mantel Clock of the most impressive design, with organic shape, almost triffid in style, the most stylised clock I have ever seen. The round face with Art Nouveau styled numerals, the supports almost bone like, behind the stylised pendulum, a windswept maiden holding on to the back of the clock. Unmarked, just numbers to the clock movement, but I would say French, circa early 1900s. The spelter with original patinated cold painted finish. The clock in working order, with original pendulum and key, an 8-day movement, so only need to wind once a week. A large and imposing size. Absolutely Stunning.
