Description
This heavy brass clock made by Kienzle in Germany in the 1950s has most unusual twist.
It has a clockwork movement that is one of the first to be powered by a battery. The mechanism is fully mechanical, being standard spring driven. The unusual thing is that as the spring winds down, two contacts are made which powers a solenoid which then ‘kick’ rewinds the spring.this happens approximately every 30 seconds.
The case and movement have been fully cleaned and the mechanism is in excellent working order.
The clock has a 3 month warranty on a return to point of sale basis.
