Description

An exceptional quality vintage desk clock in the Marina style by Jaeger-Le Coultre, in lucite with gilded brass. It is in good original condition, with some to be expected some age wear, especially to the Lucite facings with light scratching and marks. The internal engravings are good, with a bright gold tone. The hands are good with the original graduated painted finish. The movement is in good condition cosmetically, with an even gold tone to the components.
It is running well, and appears to be keeping good time.

Note - The artist Marina developed a special technique for engraving and colouring holes on a synthetic block, which creates a three-dimensional image when viewed from the front. In this case, a Astronomical themed decoration. It is often incorrectly assumed that the “Marina” always depicts maritime designs. The dial with an artistic golden cover and golden tapered applications is placed in the centre of these artful motifs. Signed dial.
