Description
Straw work multi compartment work box made by Napoleonic prisoners of war 1793-1815 in the form of a book the top opens to reveal 3 cotton compartments with individual lids that have bone handles and eyelets to dispense cotton or silk thread along with a larger needle compartment.
The straw work colours are still very vibrant to the interior and a little faded to the exterior the original hinges are present but the lid is detached.
