Description

Super quality Ashbourne Derbyshire slate Pietra Dura panels in gilded Ormolu box with ornate gilded leaf shaped feet supports. The slate panels all round inlaid with hard stone pictures of flowers, with birds on the top panel. Inlays of malachite, turquoise, onyx, marble, quartz and other exotic hard stone. The gilded Ormolu case with good beading decorations around the panels and on the casket offered in excellent condition with some rubbing to the gilding and tiny surface crack only to rear panel. A remarkable quality piece.
