Description

This rare Art Nouveau pâte de verre glass plaque, titled Maternité, is beautifully crafted by Almaric Walter for Daum Nancy from a design by Henri Chapus. The substantial circular plaque features a finely sculpted, translucent relief depicting a tender mother and child scene. The figure of the mother is rendered in soft amber and golden tones with dark grey hair, cradling her infant against a solid warm brown background.
