Description
Delicately carved alabaster sculpture of a female water carrier, early 20th century. The figure is shown standing with her hair covered by a fabric wrap and a light drape over her lower half. She holds a water jug in each arm, capturing a serene and balanced pose. Finely detailed with soft facial features and flowing lines typical of the period. There is an old repair to the base, but the figure remains visually striking.
