Description

Nineteenth Century Sculpture of a Bejewelled Dancer.
Depicted in a dynamic dance pose, adorned with elaborate layers of jewelled necklaces, bangles, and anklets. The costume features detailed drapery and textures characteristic of the highly ornamental Orientalist style.
Orientalist bronze, "Hindoue" - The Hindu Dancer, it is a quintessential example of the Belle Époque fascination with Eastern and "exotic" cultures.
