Description

An exquisite pair of antique French wall lights, dating from circa the 19th century, crafted in opulent ormolu (gilt bronze or bronze doré). Each piece is designed as a 2-branch applique, featuring fine, rich detailing typical of the Rococo (Louis XV) or Neoclassical (Empire) styles. The exceptional quality of the ormolu casting and chasing ensures a brilliant, non-tarnishing gold finish that would have magnificently reflected candlelight.
