Patented May 31st 1870.
In the 1880's adverts for this referred to it as a 'Bicycle Rifle' which was a light rifle that can be carried for self defence.
Frank Wessen was a prominent gunsmith well known for his high quality rimfire firearms.
Presented in a fitted case.
