Description

An early 20th century Japanese carved wood Daikoku hammer. It is supposed to bring good luck, and would have been held by Daikokuten who is one of the Seven Gods of Luck in Japanese mythology. It is a symbol of power and abundance, capable of granting wishes. The hammer has been gilded to the outside with attached cord for hanging. The hammer can be shaken, and contains small beads or seeds. Stock Code: 2788.
