Description
Framed in a period black gilt wood and gesso circular frame.
Herring was one of the most eminent animal painters of the 19th Century. The original artwork depicts three majestic horses heads emerging from the water representing the biblical story of The Pharaohs chariots being swept away by The Red Sea.
