A Pair of Bird and Nest Studies ‘Greenfinch & Linnet’, by Scottish-Canadian painter William Cruikshank (1848–1922) - Royal Scottish Academy and Royal Academy of Arts. Singed by the artist.

A pair of detailed still life's, depicting a bird lying beside its mossy nest, which contains several eggs. The scene is surrounded by delicate white blossoms, often apple or hawthorn, on a mossy or earthen bank.

Presented in an oval-cut mount within a traditional frame.
