Description

Original Early 19th Century Set of Four Framed Engravings of Horse Racing Scenes. Highly detailed scenes of 'The First Steeple-Chace on Record' after Henry Alken (1785-1851). Engraved by J. Harris. Published by Ben Brooks at his Eclipsed Sporting Gallery, Oxford. Plates 1 to 4. These are dated 1839, early Victorian period. Hand coloured engravings, mounted and framed in matching ebonised frames. Some age fading to the prints, but overall in very good condition for being 200 years old. Superb Interior Design Display.
