Description
An original antique early 20th century etching on vellum known as 'The Closed Door' by Herbert Thomas Dicksee RE (1862-1942). It is an image of a wire haired fox terrier sitting waiting for his master to open the door. It is signed in pencil by the artist and dated 1919. Published by Frost & Reed in the USA 1920. Window mounted, glazed and presented in a black frame. Hanging thread to the reverse and original framers label for 1920. Image size 57cm wide by 37.5cm high. Frame size 78.5cm wide by 59.5cm high.
