Description

A wonderful original watercolour by Henry Edward Sternon Tozer (1864-1955). He specialised in watercolours, especially marine, coastal and genre subjects. He exhibited at the Royal Academy. He lived in St. Just in Cornwall, and the surrounding coast and quaint cottages inspired him. The image shows an elderly man sitting at a table in a cottage having just eaten his meal, he has let his cats finish off what is left. The painting is signed lower left H.S.Tozer and dated 1913. It is a well painted and detailed picture. It has a double window mount and is glazed and presented in a gilt frame ready for hanging. Image size 24cm high by 31cm wide. Frame size 46cm high by 52cm wide. Dealer Code: 3514.
