Description
Very Rare and decorative piece of American Prohibition Gangster History. Ace of Hearts playing card signed by Benjamin (Bugsy) Siegel.
BUGSY SIEGAL 1906 – 1947
Notorious gangster who co-controlled the bootlegging, prostitution and gambling rackets in 1920’s-30’s New York. In 1929 he partnered with Lucky Luciano and Meyer Lansky to form Murder Inc., an organisation of contract killers estimated to have murdered between 400 to 1,000 during its eleven-year reign. In 1945 he moved to Las Vegas and with an initial $1.5 million dollars of Mob money and set about building the now famous Flamingo Hotel and the birth of Las Vegas as we know it today. The eventual building cost spiralled to $6 million dollars allegedly due to his skimming and in 1947, on instructions from the Mob, he was murdered in a hail of bullets at his girlfriend’s Las Vegas house. Certificate of authenticity to reverse.
