Description
An exquisite Edwardian display cabinet, circa 1900, crafted in fine, rich mahogany. The cabinet is beautifully proportioned with a desirable serpentine (wavy) shaped front and is of small scale, ideal for intimate spaces. It features delicate Neoclassical decoration, including boxwood stringing and satinwood inlay work, emphasising the straight lines and curves. The interior is lined with velvet and fitted with a glass shelf or shelves, perfect for displaying delicate porcelain or glassware. Functionality is maintained by the original working lock and key. The cabinet stands on elegant tapered legs that terminate in characteristic spade feet.
