Victorian Ebonised Two-Door-Pier Cabinet

A beautifully proportioned Victorian pier cabinet in ebonised wood, dating to circa 1862–1870. This fine piece features striking amboyna veneered panels and delicate marquetry inlay, framed by intricate gilt ormolu mounts. The two glazed doors, flanked by elegant fluted columns with ormolu capitals and bases, open to reveal fitted interior shelving — ideal for displaying fine objects or collections. The amboyna veneer provides a warm contrast to the deep black of the ebony, while the detailed marquetry and ormolu embellishments reflect the high level of craftsmanship typical of the period.
