Description

A very well made antique Victorian mahogany and brass bound writing box on later stand. The rectangular box with military style brass handles with a bramah lock and original key, although the key does not turn to lock the box. The box opening to reveal an interior with a dark blue leather and gilt tooled writing surface, two inkwells and storage compartments. Underneath the writing surface is a space to store stationary. There is also a secret compartment containing four small drawers near the inkwells opened by a spring release and there is also a full length drawer to one end. The box is attached to a later mahogany stand. Stock Code: 2815.
