Description
A George III period mahogany bureau desk with fall front revealing highly detailed fitted interior.
Circa 1760-1820.
Marquetry and parquetry decoration to the fall front and to the four graduated drawers, each with decorative gilt metal handles and escutcheons.
Hobbs London top lock. Tunbridgeware style decor. Oak lined.
Oval inlaid decoration with an urn to the front and also an inlaid urn decoration to the interior door.
Interior secret drawers in the forms of pillars.
A beautiful quality piece.
