Description
This substantial early 20th-century table features the classic barley twist (solomonic) legs popular during the Edwardian and inter war periods. Crafted typically from solid oak, the table is designed with a drop leaf top that allows for versatile space management. When extended, the leaves are supported by a swing gate mechanism on either side, providing a sturdy and balanced foundation for the large surface area. The barley twist carving adds a decorative, rhythmic texture to the legs, contrasting with the smooth, flat surfaces of the tabletop.
