Description

A heavily carved occasional table with four fall front frieze compartments on cabriole legs, with a shelf stretcher and ball and claw feet. Made by Joseph Greaves (1847 - 1929) of Brindle, Lancashire. Reputed to be part constructed from 15th century timbers from the granary at Snape Castle, Yorkshire.

Good, sound condition, with some minor splits consistent with the 15th century timbers.
